According to Diario El Salvador, Salvadorans are venturing beyond their borders, exploring destinations like Seville, Spain, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. With the backing of embassies and consulates, they engage in diverse activities, promoting their businesses and showcasing the cultural wealth of Latin America’s safest country.
During the Ibero-American parade in Seville in 2024, a spirited group of compatriots from El Salvador showcased their vibrant culture. The lively beats of folk dances like “El Torito pinto,” “El carbonero,” and “Las cortado ras” captured the hearts of attendees from diverse nationalities. Meanwhile, the embassy orchestrated a delightful gastronomic exchange in South Korea with the Seoul Global Center and the Korea Institute for Gastronomic Promotion.
In this activity, they prepared a traditional Korean dish and tasted Coffee from El Salvador. In Berlin, Germany, the headquarters inaugurated the Salvadoran restaurant called Púchica Pupusas, founded by Liliana Müller-Rathsmann, a native of Chalatenango.
In Japan, the authorities held a day of cultural and educational promotion about El Salvador at Nukui Junior High School in the city of Nerima. One hundred sixty high school students learned about the country’s history and traditions.
