El Salvador Will Host the 2026 AIC Summit of the Americas

El Salvador has been chosen to host the 2026 Summit of the Americas, organized by the Inter-American Accounting Association (AIC). Running from October 27 to 29, the summit will bring together accounting professionals, academics, and leaders from across the continent for three days of discussion, collaboration, and professional growth. For a country that has worked hard to rebuild its international reputation, the announcement carries a significance that reaches well beyond the world of balance sheets and financial standards.

A gathering focused on the future of the profession

According to AIC president Nelson Hahn, the summit will address the most important themes shaping the future of accounting and finance. The program is broad and forward-looking, covering:
